About us
Dayanand Arts College, Department of Fashion Design was established in 2010 with Bachelor Degree of fashion design in Affiliated To Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathawada University Nanded ,Along with M.A.Fashion Design and 1 year certificate course in clothing and textile courses in fashion design department started in 2013-14. Introducing B.voc Fashion design degree course in Affiliated To Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathawada University Nanded this year.
The department has highly qualified staff members and well –equipped classrooms, lab, auditorium, seminar halls, library, canteen, and campus hostel. The department also has a pattern making and garment construction lab, computer lab, textile lab to provide hands-on experience to the students. The department organizes a Fashion show, Exhibition, State level competition. It provides a platform to the students to understand the in-depth concept of the design process and on job experience related to garments assembly, promotion custom made garment making and choreography.
Fashion Design
Fashion design program provides opportunities to boys and girls, a learning pathway in the field of apparel and fashion design. It nurtures the personal creativity of the students and encourages innovation in design thinking to develop as a creative learner Thinker and practitioner. It will also motivate the students to develop intellectual and critical thinking and develop their personality in their work through rigorous enquiry, Evaluation and application
Fashion designing is the art of inventing/innovating or adding beauty to clothing by using certain accessories. The job of a fashion designer includes sketching fashion ideas, cutting out and sewing the clothing item ,attending fashion show, using tailoring skills to perfect the fit, drawing patterns to create garments selecting fabrics and any special additions for the outfit and reading magazines to keep up with the latest fashion
