History of Department

Department of English was established in the year 1961. Initially it offered UG course only. Post Graduate course was started in the year 1972. The Department of English is a recognized Research Centre under S.R.T.M.U., Nanded, offering research facilities to Ph.D and M.Phil. students.

In the year 2009, U.G.C. has sanctioned to the Department- Certificate, Diploma, and Advance Diploma Course in Translation Proficiency. The Department also runs Spoken English classes and BPO/Call centre Training classes…

Conducts Quiz, Elocution, Debate, GK test, Celebration of Days, Career Counseling, NET/SLET guidance.

Extension Activity          

Students and Faculty visits the rural and slum area school guiding the weak students on Spoken English, Better Pronunciation, Grammar.

GOAL ( Group of Active Learner)

The students of Functional English bi-annually publish a Newspaper .It is an attempt to initiate them into the field of Journalism and Creative writing.

Departmental Library

Collection of Reference and others books used by Faculty and students. Submitted Project Works for future reference are maintained.
